Conversations with Architects about Drupal

Information Architect, Solutions Architect, Software Architect, Systems Architect - these titles, now commonplace in our industry, borrow from a much older, established industry: Architecture.

While the difference between designing a website and designing a building may be obvious, the design processes involved often share many similar duties and responsibilities. This session will examine parallels between these two practices and consider what Drupal site builders can learn from the age-old industry of Architecture. It will encourage attendees to reflect on research methodologies, the function of documentation, and considerations for user experience design. In presenting these conversations, this presentation will provide observations on project planning and describe a process-oriented approach to designing your next Drupal site.
